Clear Creek Inn is the centerpiece of a
working cattle ranch located on 170 lush
green acres at the base of the Wallowa
Mountains just outside of Halfway, Oregon.
Cattle arrived here in 2005, but the ranch
has a long history in Pine Valley.
More Than A Homestead
Nearly a century ago, Clear Creek Farm
was just a cabin on a homestead located
on a bench at the north end of Pine Valley.
Wallace Deadrick and his wife, Hattie, are
the earliest known residents. They moved to Pine Valley from Tennessee and bought the
property in 1912, dubbing it "Tennessee Heights."
Over the course of 3 generations, that
homestead has evolved into a working
Inn, retaining that turn-of-the-century
construction and charm, but expanding
to provided individual washroom facilities,
wheelchair access, and a modern
professional kitchen.
Birth Of A B&B
The Inn at Clear Creek Farm was founded as a B&B in 1985.
It boasts 5 large bedrooms, each individually decorated in
turn-of-the-century style and complete with its own bath.
There is also one complete family suite. The Inn also has
a large dining room, commercial kitchen, a sitting room,
and a library.
The first floor porch wraps around the entire Southern
exposure and provides a glamorous view of the majestic Pine
Valley, as does the private porch off of the southernmost
bedroom.
Today And Tomorrow
During the summer of 2006, 2 wedding receptions filled the orchard just east of the house.
In 2007, work began to convert the 3 summer cabins
into winter cabins for use by snowmobilers and skiers alike.
And, in 2008, we will expand the in-house recreation to
include snowmobile rental, horseback riding, canoeing and
much more. With 4 feet of snow throughout the winter,
you will be able to ride 150 miles from the front porch
through majestic, glacier-carved canyons, turn around
and come back to spend the night.
The Inn is open all year and available for private getaways
or group vacations. Call or email for rates and availability!
